OBJECTIVES

Page One Public Relations was retained ten years ago and continues to work with Equinox Fitness Clubs in the Midwest market to maintain the brand’s expert positioning and distinguish it from its competitors.

 

CHALLENGE

When first retained, Equinox Fitness Clubs had little name recognition in the Chicago or Midwest market.  The brand needed to prove that it could succeed outside of its strong presence in New York and Los Angeles. 

 

SOLUTION

Page One consistently engages media and local VIPs in experiencing the “Equinox difference.” The agency advises Equinox on approaches that will appeal to gym-goers in secondary markets. Page One works with the Equinox corporate team to create formal influencer programs, establish media relationships by leveraging unique off-site market events and by utilizing its relationships with key media to invite them to experience all the clubs have to offer. 

 

WINNING RESULTS

Page One continues to work with Equinox on a retainer basis, expanding from Chicago to the entire central market. Over five years, Page One has secured more than 500 million media impressions for the brand. Media placements include national stories in SHAPE, SELF, Pure Wow, Pop Sugar, WebMD and Men’s Health and local coverage in target markets including CS Modern Luxury, Thrillist, Time Out, Miami Herald and Dallas Morning News.  Equinox has become the media’s “go-to”resource for reliable and fresh fitness information.
